Injustice 2 Review

Most fighting games I find a little bit ‘meh’ but the ones I really do like are the ones made by NetherRealm who had great success rebooting Mortal Kombat and with the previous Injustice game featuring DC Superheroes using a similar fighting system. What’s great about these games is the seamless transition between cut-scenes and the fighting action. This isn’t just some disjointed voice over and animation over a short series of fights for each character, but a properly thought out story where you play as the characters as they are introduced and have to fulfil their part of the...

Injustice Gods Among Us review

I first saw Injustice at last year’s E3. Behind closed doors we were treated to a demo of Superman fighting The Flash and I liked what I saw. Developed by NeverRealm, the same dudes behind Mortal Kombat, the game looked promising and thankfully, it’s delivered now it’s available to play properly. LEGO Batman 2 tries to break away from this mould slightly but ultimately it just succeeds in diluting an already successful formula. So what’s going on? Well this time Lex Luthor has...

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe

In a surprise announcement that has stunned everyone in gaming circles; Midway have announced their new addition to the Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. Teaming up with Warner Bros (the owners of DC Comics), we can expect characters such as Superman and Batman to battle alongside and against current favourites such as Scorpion and Liu Kang. This move will no doubt be a kick in the teeth for the Japanese games studio Capcom who previously partnered with DC Comics to produce their hit game Marvel vs. Capcom. Gore fans will be sad to hear that the game...
