Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman: Arkham Knight review

Batman Arkham Knight is the fourth game in the Arkham series but the third one developed by Rocksteady games and thus, is being treated like the third game in the series. The game starts with you incinerating the Joker because (spoiler alert), he died at the end of the last game, and then things all go a bit creepy as The Scarecrow has unleashed some Fear Gas into Gotham and everyone has begun to fight each other. Naturally, everyone evacuates the city which is a good excuse to make the streets sparse (such as being Christmas Eve in Arkham Origins),...

Batman Arkham Knight Launch in London

Last night saw the launch event for Batman: Arkham Knight, the latest Arkham game which sees the Caped Crusader fight a menagerie of villains who are, let’s be frank here, bloody mental. What’s also mental is an art gallery that’s free to go and see at Kachette in London’s Old Street, where contemporary artists and celebrities were given a Cape and Cowl item to decorate with their own spin on Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego. The exhibit features works from the likes of artists Pure Evil, Pam Glew and INSA, but also designs by Jonathan Ross, Noel Clarke and Eliza Doolittle. Make...

Batman: Arkham Knight Muse trailer

Batman: Arkham Knight hits the shops today and to get everyone excited, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have released this brand new trailer featuring the track Mercy from Muse’s latest album, Drones. The trailer reveals some of the bad denizens of Gotham including The Riddler, Harley Quinn and Scarecrow and shows off some of the cool gameplay including swooping through above the dark streets, kicking people in the face with new dual takedowns where Robin and/or Nightwing come and have a go, and for the first time, driving the Batmobile with its new tank style combat. I can’t wait to...

Batman Voice Talent Update

Warner Bros. Entertainment has confirmed the voice talent involved  in the latest Batman game, Batman: Arkham Knight. Developed by Rocksteady studios, the game is already looking fantastic with the added benefit of being able to drive about in the Batmobile and use it like a tank. Providing their vocal talents to the roster will be Jonathan Banks from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul (playing James Gordon), Ashley Greene from The Twilight Saga (playing Barbara Gordon), John Noble from Sleepy Hollow and Fringe (playing Scarecrow) and Scott Porter from Friday Night Lights and Hart of Dixie (playing Nightwing). Of course...

LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes

LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes review

LEGO Batman 2 is an original story from the Traveller’s Tales team, who brought you all the other LEGO games you’re probably all familiar with. In them you smash stuff to bits and beat up baddies to collect studs which earn you more unlocks and collectibles. It’s incredibly addictive, especially when played how it’s meant to played in co-op mode and funny too thanks to parodies on well-loved franchises. LEGO Batman 2 tries to break away from this mould slightly but ultimately it just succeeds in diluting an already successful formula. So what’s going on? Well this time Lex Luthor has...

Batman Arkham City review

I cannot tell you how excited I’ve been about Batman: Arkham City ever since I played Arkham Asylum three times to complete it 100% and get all but three of the achievements. Now it’s here but can it live up to the hype or like in music, will Bruce Wayne be struggling with his difficult 2nd album? I don’t want to give away spoilers so let me just say that for one reason or another, Bruce Wayne finds himself inside Arkham City – a sort of open prison inside Gotham City where prisoners are left to run amok and take...
