After DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine has been used in Battlefield 3 and farmed out to other games such as Need for Speed: The Run, there are now rumours that it may also be used in Dead Space 3. Although not announced by EA, rumours abound that it’s happening thanks to job postings at EA’s Visceral studios and DICE’s rendering architect Johan Andersson tweeting that he’s off to visit a whole bunch of Frostbite-powered EA studios, the first one being Montreal where Visceral are based. Of course this is all conjecture but it Frostbite 2 is indeed powering Dead Space 3 then we’re all in for a very scary treat!
